Merche Segarra
Creative Director
Born into a family immersed in the arts, Creative Director Merche Segarra’s pathway to fashion was shaped by a lifelong connection to design and aesthetics, earning degrees in Fine Arts and Fashion Design in Barcelona before completing an advanced technical master’s degree in Milan. Her early career in traditional bespoke ateliers provided an invaluable understanding of how women experience a garment, an insight she brought to Jesús Peiró when she stepped into her leadership role in 2003.
For over two decades, Segarra has been the driving force behind the brand's signature "updated classical" aesthetic, utilizing a highly collaborative, materials-driven design process often sparked by the movement of fabric or contemporary architecture. Under her guidance, the design and technical teams work in perfect alignment to solve the intricate geometric challenges of high-volume, minimalist silhouettes, intentionally placing a bride's personal expression ahead of traditional protocol to create masterfully engineered, deeply personal gowns.
